Position: IT/Research Support Officer

Level: Junior Officer

The Nepal Bankers' Association (NBA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as an IT/Research Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about technology and research to contribute to the advancement of the banking industry in Nepal.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide first-level IT support within the Association, ensuring smooth functioning of IT systems and addressing technical issues;
2. Prepare detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly data analysis of banks, comparing and scrutinizing various key financial indicators to identify the trends and patterns;
3. Collate and update various data as per the requirement;
4. Create, administer, monitor, and maintain data from multiple sources;
5. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications;
6. Design and create newsletters, leaflets and brochures to support NBA's communication initiatives;
7. Desing banners and forms for various purposes; 
8. Update the NBA website with relevant content, news, and announcements.
9. Conduct research on emerging technologies and trends which may be relevant to the banking industry;
10. Conduct any other additional duties handed time-to-time by the ED.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar degree;
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support;
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, software, and hardware;
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign);
• Proficiency in MS-Office applications with excellence in Excel;
• Excellent research and analytical skills;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Knowledge of banking industry preferred;
• Candidates having valid two-wheeler license preferred.

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience in providing technical support in research activities; 
2. Knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies;
3. Experience with website content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress;
4. Familiarity with Cpanel;
5. Knowledge with SEO best practices;
6. Experience in supporting research activities and competitive analysis.
