Transcultural Psychosocial Organization Nepal (TPO Nepal) is one of Nepal’s leading psychosocial organizations. It was established in 2005 to promote psychosocial well-being and mental health of people in conflict-affected and other vulnerable communities through the development of sustainable, culturally appropriate, and community-based psychosocial support systems.
Project information:
‘Enabling Truth Memory and Justice’ is a project that will promote and facilitate the effective participation of conflict victims in a credible and victim-centered transitional justice process working through four local partners and across 12 municipalities in Nepal. The overall goal of the program is to contribute to the strengthening of local and national level accountability in inclusive processes of truth-seeking, restorative justice, reconciliation, and memorialization for increased public legitimacy in Nepal’s transitional justice process that is capable of addressing the lack of participation, marginalization and underlying grievances. Out of four partners TPO Nepal is one of the implementing partners that works for 12 municipalities with the financial support of International Alert. Psychosocial Counselor staying at Surkhet will handle over Birendranagar, Chaukune, and Chingad municipalities and Madhes province has to handle over Saptari (BalanBihuland Kanchanrup Municipalities), Siraha (Lahan, Dhangadhimai and Karjanha Municipality)and Mahottari(Bardibas) districts.
TPO Nepal seeks competent, committed, and result-oriented candidates for the following positions:
Job Title : Psychosocial Counselor
Job station : Siraha (Lahan) and Surkhet (Birendranagar)
Job duration : 1 year with a possibility of extension
Number of openings : 2 (two) (one at each station)
Start date : At the earliest
