     is an autonomous, independent, non-partisan, nonprofit making independent non-governmental organization (NGO). It was established in 2000 AD, registered in District Administration Office, Banke, and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council, Nepal. It is serving in the local regions, especially in the Lumbini and Karnali Province of the country for democracy, peace, human rights, environmental conservation, climate change adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and community development in the area of child protection, sustainable livelihoods, nutrition, WaSH, DRR and emergency response, alternative energy, waste management, governance, and income generation. Since then, it is working on the rights-based approach to issues such as social justice, peace, human rights, democratic development, environment conservation, and community development. It works for the attainment of peace, development, and justice through peoples’ meaningful participation and bottom-up approach by building a trustworthy reputation.

    BEE-Group has been implementing a project, namely Telethon: Child, Not Bride in Geruwa Rural Municipality, Thakurbaba Municipality, Madhuban Municipality, and Barabardiya Municipality of Bardiya district in partnership with Plan International Nepal. The project aims to strengthen the system and mechanism for child protection to prevent child early and forced marriages. Under this project, BEE Group is seeking qualified, experienced, and self-motivated staff for the mentioned project.

    Position: Project Manager – One

    Duty Station: Based at the field office, Gulariya, Bardiya, and frequently visit the project area

    Job Summary:

    The project manager will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the project reporting to the partner organization and donor agency. The major duties include; designing the project activities, budgeting, and implementation, and monitoring and reporting as a team leader. Facilitate the local government and civil society organizations for strengthening the system for better education, and child protection safety culture for girls and young women, and promotion and protection of child rights and preventing child early and forced marriage. The manager will also be responsible to play an effective role to bring synergy between like-minded stakeholders to achieve the desired results.

    Key responsibility:

    • Ensuring that the adequate understanding of the project plan and approaches by staff and stakeholders and providing necessary technical guidance to them.  
    • Timely and quality delivery of the project activities including training, workshop, and support to the targeted community and individual.Planning and implementation of project activities properly ensuring the monitoring.
    • Ensure proper management of financial transactions referring to the compliances. 
    • Documentation, generation of appropriate knowledge product as per the project plan, and reporting to the donor agency and partner organization according to the agreed standards and timely manner. 
    • Work closely with the local government, and civil society organizations and ensure that the highest level of coordination for the smooth implementation of project interventions.
    • Support and facilitate the project team in collecting the project progress, challenges, and opportunities and reporting to the partner organization regularly. 
    • Ensure practice is established for a reflective learning environment within a project team, and organization and functioning of strong and effective teamwork.

    Competencies and personal specification:

    • Strong conceptual, and interpersonal communication, negotiation, facilitation, and representation skills with working experiences in areas of child rights, women’s rights, and preventing child early and forced marriage. 
    • Proven knowledge, skills, and experience in the leading team, managing the integrated multi-thematic project (Education, Sexual Reproductive Health Rights, Youth empowerment, Economic empowerment, Social Behaviour Change Communication, Child protection), building relationships, and working in partnership with local government, civil society organizations and maintaining the congenial working relationship with all stakeholders. 
    • Demonstrated skills in team building with an ability to coach and mentor the project team.  
    • Proven knowledge and skills in program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Proven experience in working with diverse communities, cultures, and the ability to cope with stress and decision-making with appropriate communication. 
    • Good command of English and Nepali both written and spoken with MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

    Education and Experience:

    • Master's Degree in Social Science or Rural Development or any other discipline with five years of work experience in child rights, women’s rights, and preventing child early and forced marriage. The candidate must have a valid motorbike/scooter license and be willing to travel in the community frequent.
